Je suis un ancien marin de la Royal Navy et mon cousin Lépold Pels qui est depui décédé était ami avec Mr. & Mme Dutry. Je suis membre de l'AB club depuis Belgrave Square et je souhaite émettre mon témoignage aussi ancien soit-il.

This is such sad news for me and Sherry. Tinou and Armand were frequent visitors to the US, and spent quality time with my great uncle, George Baekeland in Fairfield, Connecticut. In 2006, my mother introduced us to Tinou because we were going to Belgium to discover Hugh's roots. Over the last 4+ years, we've enjoyed our visits with Tinou, and were given a taste of her very full and fun life. She brought us into her inner circle of friends and family. She was the consummate hostess, throwing impromptu soirees with champagne whenever we came to Brussels. She was an intrepid tour guide on our first visit. We met in London on another. She was in rehab in Oostende on our third visit. And, although a bit slowed down, she was back in the swing of things on our last.
She will be sorely missed.
